BUILDING A BETTER BUILDING

TO SERVE THE LORD

RENOVATION UPDATE AND INFORMATION

We are now entering the last phase of our Renovation project at HPBC, and while the winter weather will slow down some of the final pieces of the puzzle, we have gained access to the building in a more functional way at this point.

  • We now have all our staircases installed and so we have full use of the old part of the building, and we no longer have capacity limits in the sanctuary.

  • This means that we will begin hosting special events like the Children’s Christmas Concert and our Christmas Eve Service in the sanctuary with full capacity.

We are still in our split service model until the new walkways are put down.

  • We have divided both the 9:00am and 11:00am services between the sanctuary and the portable with approximately 60 people in each building.

  • Both venues will have live worship and live preaching so that everyone can enjoy the same worship experience.

  • Those worshiping in the sanctuary will now be using the Kitchen Entranceway.  We have installed a railing and handrail and that entrance is now fully safe to the public.

Nursery, Children and other

  • Our Nursery is back downstairs in its regular location near the kitchen, and parents of nursery aged children will worship in the sanctuary.

  • If our sidewalks have not been installed by the New Year when Sunday School resumes after the holidays, all parents are asked to drop their children off at the  beginning of service, as our Sunday School department is moving to a full morning program for the children.  All children will need to be signed in to Sunday School by a parent or guardian each week.

  • Both the men's and women's washrooms are also available in the basement of the church.

Please continue to pray for success in this project, and don’t forget to pray for all those who will be working on the building, that we would be a godly witness to them as they use their skills to enhance our local church.  We are almost there, but the many small parts that still need to be done demand a great deal of scheduling and coordination from our builder, so we thank you for your prayers and support.

Blessings,

Pastor Dan

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm.

Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,

because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.     1 Cor. 15:58
