“I was Glad when they said unto me, let us go up to the house of the Lord”
Welcome to our Sunday "Attending Worship" Information Page
Below is a list of items that will help you understand and participate in our worship services at the church during the duration of our Provincially mandated worship regulations.
All people entering the building will be asked the following questions:
Do you have a cough or fever?
Have you been out of the country in the past 14 days?
Have you been in contact with someone known to have COVID in the past 14 days?
Please do not enter the building until an usher has greeted you outside and given you permission to enter. This helps to ensure social distancing while we are being seated for the worship service.
Currently the sanctuary has a limit of 60 worshipers. All other people will be invited to view the service from either the basement or portable on a screen with live feed.
If you are asked to view from an overflow area, a pastor will join you for prayer and announcement time, as well as closing prayers and benedictions.
During worship we are only allowed to have one singer in the room (we may have two additional singers in a separate room to help with the worship), but the congregation cannot sing out loud. You may whisper or hum to yourself, but congregational singing is currently not allowed.
We are going paperless for the duration of the pandemic so there will be no bulletins, hymnals, or Bibles in the pews. (we will have an envelope that will be changed after each service if you need one for your offering.)
Because we are paperless, we invite you to bring your own bible or wireless device to church (with the volume off) so you can use it for Bible readings, etc.
If you need to leave during the service for any reason, please do not just pass over a fellow worshiper in your pew. You must ask them to stand and walk into the aisle in order to let you pass.
Please expect to be seated at the usher’s discretion. We will be filling in from the wall out, and we may ask families with small children to sit near the back in case they need to take their child out of the service.
All services at this time are family services. We are not currently allowed to offer children’s ministry so we invite parents to bring activity books, etc for your children during the service.
We invite you to join us this summer and experience for yourself the joy of worshiping together in these strange times.
Blessings, from the staff of HPBC.
