Watch a fun video taken at our (Baptist) Purim Service
In January 2010, we were studying the book of Esther at Church. The following video was taken one Sunday when we decided to release our inner Purim Spirit. Or to put it another way, we held a Baptist Purim festival, with laughter, booing for Haman, and a Purim Spheel in which we retold the Esther story in a very irreverent way. It was a blast!
The video is 10 minutes long and contains all the highlights of the Esther story, but if you don't know the Esther story you might want to read it in the Bible, as we tended to deviate from the plot line a little bit.
The video is shaky at times becasue it was taken by some of the teens in the audience and not originally intended to put online.

Before you watch the video I want to answer some questions that you might have during and after....
No I don't think I can dance.
Yes it was supposed to be a joke.
No we didn't mean to offend rappers, cross-dressers, or Hasidic Jews.
Yes we had the most fun we have ever had in a Sunday Morning Service.
No we do not think we will do it again...until next year :-)
