Verse of the Day

Romans 15:5-6
“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Praying the Psalms

Christians have been praying the psalms since the beginning of the Church. They are the greatest resource we have for talking to God. It would seem, however, that many evangelical Christians don’t pray the psalms, or don’t understand that when they read a psalm they could be praying it instead. To pray a psalm, one must simply read it with careful intent, and with a desire to place oneself in the role of the writer of the text.

For example, if you need guidance, and are struggling to understand where your life is going, why not pray the 23rd psalm daily until you feel that God has shown you the direction he would have for your life. By praying the 23rd psalm you are reminding yourself that God is your “Shepherd and your guide.” And your are praying your future into God’s hands.

Here are some great Psalms to Pray.
