Prayer
Prayer is the most fundamental part of the Christian life…and…most Christians don’t do it very well. Mostly because they were only taught one way to pray. A parent, or pastor, or someone, told them to bow their head, and talk to God.

The problem is, most often, after we have asked for help with the bills, or for healing from sickness, or some other request, we don’t have much left to say. Speaking from first hand experience, as a Baptist and an Evangelical, the average person leaves most of the praying to the “professionals.” And yet without prayer, we cannot talk to, or hear from God. And so, if most Christians aren’t praying, how are they being “Christ-like”?

The following page was designed to introduce Christians and non-Christians alike to the abundance of ways that Christians can pray. Listed below are many different types of Christian prayer, just click on the prayer you want to learn about.  Some of the prayer types listed here are familiar to many Christians, some are not, but all are a part of the rich traditions of the Christian Church, and all are of great benefit to those who want to connect with God.
